RUG CARE & MAINTENANCE

Vacuuming your rug regularly is an effective way to reduce debris buildup and maintain a clean surface. Shedding of loose rug fibers is expected with new rugs and can be minimized by proper maintence. Using rotating or brush head vacuums is not recommended because they promote breakage in the natural woven fibers.

We recommend rotating your rug from time to time to insure even wear and increase the longevity of your rug. Rotating and flipping your rug occasionally will maintain appearance and insure thorough cleaning.

Stains and spills can be treated with 1 part of white vinegar and 5 parts of clean water. Spray this onto the affected area. Cover it with a thick wad of absorbent material and add a weight (heavy book or flat object) on top. Leave it for 24 hours before removing the weight and wad and allowing the rug to dry completely.

Beyond regular care it is important to refresh your rug with gentle treatment or professional rug cleaning.
